One primary hazard related to any one's health is Incomplete Knowledge acquired from society,-Internet-Newspapers---and Subsequently choosing the wrong Doctor.
A Live example, prompting me to write this ----- -A 72 year old Gentleman stated this in my Clinic yesterday--he was feeling NUMBNESS in his Hands and Toes with Frequent Urination for few days and discussed it with his Morning walk Friends and decided to visit a ORTHOPEDIC IAN for consultation-He prescribed him pain killers and Vitamin A&D tablets --Obviously Giving NO RELIEF to his Symptoms.
His son brought him to me -and being a PHYSICIAN ,I gave him a hearing and on those symptoms and my Physical examination,provisionally diagnosed him as a DIABETIC and advised a BloodSugar test --reading was 351 mg/dl and the Diagnosis Confirmed.
Moral of this true story is to convey that ONE should only go to a GENERAL PRACTITIONER or a PHYSICIAN for any body discomfort INSTEAD of rushing to a Specialist or Super Specialist,
who may NOT have time to listen to your problem or ( Unfortunately) has chosen to FORGET his Basic Now ledge and has acquired a NARROW ANGLE monocular vision of HIS speciality Only.
This resposibility should be OUR's not of the Doctor Only.
