DIABETES Can be MANAGED by MINDSET ---try this

THIS IS A CONVERSATION TYPE OF POST between few Doctors - NON Doctor friends.---------

I SHALL ADD in this post---- from time to time.

message is LOUD & CLEAR

Is it possible to cut down carbohydrates totally from the diet??

Yes it is. You will be surprised to know that the carbohydrate requirement of human beings after infancy is zero. Yes, zero! There are essential amino acids and essential fatty acids, but there are no essential carbohydrates! The body is perfectly capable of manufacturing whatever glucose substrates it needs..

The amount of sugar needed to maintain a normal blood sugar is just about one teaspoon in a day, that too not necessarily coming from ingested sugar. Anything more than that is a huge burden for your pancreas. No wonder it wears out...

Absolutely true ..after trying for long I stopped eating rice, roti or any high carbohydrates
and I can feel the change..thank you for highlighting the carb based Indian diet.

Well done.. Your body will thank you for it!

i think diet is the most important thing for a healthy life, and thank you for the inspiration..

TRUE. No amount of exercise or medicine can make up for a wrong kind of eating.

Yes it is possible to eat carbs only occassionaly.

Carb loading before strenous exercise is a myth.

Adding additional sugar in preparation is unnecessary

Replace one meal with salad and fruit

for HUNGER Pangs ---eat fist full of roasted grams and puffed rice.

एक मुट्ठी --मुरमुरा और भुना हुआ चना

Yes, carbohydrates loading is a very bad idea, even for athletes. It's just not needed.
Ketones make much better fuel, which your body is perfectly capable of making. But I would go easy on the fruits.. they are just sugar balls 😬, the exceptions being coconut and avocado.
